Wet end exhaust: Reduce the humidity and heat load

30.08.2016 by Riitta Leppämäki

wet endThe wet end of the paper machine produces most of the heat and moist air leaks into the machine hall. Thus the wet end exhaust plays a key role as far as the machine hall air flow dimensioning is considered.

Runnability Components: Fewer breaks with Vacubox® web stabilizers

24.08.2016 by Riitta Leppämäki

runnabilityIt’s all about stability and contact. Dryer sections are often single felted in order to improve paper machine runnability at higher speeds. The paper tends to lift off the dryer fabric mainly at the closing nips. This causes wrinkles and web breaks, as well as other problems. Our Vacubox® web stabilizers keep the paper in good contact with the fabric thus preventing web flutter and instability.  [Read more…]

Mondi Stambolijski Trim Handling: More efficiency needed, but no time for shut-down

24.04.2016 by Teija Laakso

Case: Mondi Stambolijski Bulgaria: Trim handling system for a winder.

Trim Handling System used in Stambolijski.
Typical Trimvac trim handling system

Goals

The customer’s trim conveying system was not efficient enough. The existing system was ejector-based. The winder was not able to run at full speed and the ejector air was blown to the pulper causing the area to become overpressurised. Additionally, the energy consumption was too high. [Read more…]
