Since March 2013 the new political leadership in China has taken action and announced large investments to prevent emissions and pollution. In addition an Air Pollution Prevention Action Plan was introduced and implemented quickly. For example the authorities (provincial and municipal) have inspected installations more frequently and fines for non-compliance have been substantial.
Zero-Ex® was developed to solve air pollution challenges and at the same time save energy and water at paper mills. Zero-Ex® is a registered trademark. Patent pending in China and Finland.
How it works
This technology prevents emission of visible vapours into the atmosphere while simultaneously recovering energy from the drying process exhaust. Energy is saved by recovering heat from the drying process and water by preventing it from being emitted into the atmosphere. The drying air is conditioned and recycled within the mill halls.
- Zero-Ex® unit provides remarkable energy and water savings for pulp and paper mills
- Zero emissions, no fog, no noise, no dust, no odour
- Payback time is less than two winters based on energy saved
- Zero-Ex® modules can be stacked or fitted in parallel to ensure efficient mass transfer and to meet the needs for flow volumes
